Description:

ON 004277. Built at Ellensburg, Oregon on the Rogue River in 1881 as a passenger and freight ship with an auxiliary brigantine rig. In the 1890s she went north as part of the Bering Sea whaling fleet. She went to work as a tugboat in the early 1900s. Her steam powerplant was replaced by a 600 hp. diesel in the 1950s. After retirement, some enthusiasts brought her home to the Rogue River to be restored and preserved, but the effort failed, and here she sits. :-( (Gold Beach, Oregon August 29, 2004)
