Not a T2, smaller than a T2 - two of these built in the early fifties. I sailed as third mate on this one & the Lion of California ex Phillips California. Phillips Petroleum of Oklahoma City built these.

While I can't identify this vessel I can say she is not a 'T2'.

Hello from the U.S.Maritime Commission frontier
Definetely not a T2 Tanker.
ABS lists only two Phillips Tanker under U.S.Flag
All built in 1954 at Sparrows Point. All other Phillips Tankers were built at Japan and Sveden.
Under www.us-maritime-commission.de you can find a lot of T2 pics. Also the biographies from Hans Jürgen Abert, shows Phillips not as an Owner of an T2 tanker.

Hi, Markus..

This is a T-2 of Phillips66-Co. in the 1950 - 1960's (see the Radar !)
I've sent them a Mail, may be one of their "experts" gets his remembrance back..
