Probably named BAY on her last voyage to the breakers yard! (unknown)
Originally laid down as President Adams (II), renamed Geiger [T-AP 197]; and Bay State IV as a training ship for the Massachusetts Martime Academy.

I have seen this vessel before but unfortunately cannot say for sure but believe may be the training ship State of Maine.

jp is right - this must be one of the 3 P2-Types US-troopships, running USA-East Asia, but they also were seen in Bremerhaven in the 1970's.

It should be a vessel before decomissioning, because all the lifeboats are already gone !! See more and the datas with history :
