Devprayag was alongside Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal awaiting to load coal when strong winds caused all mooring lines to break. The crew managed to drop an anchor to stop her drifting but not before she struck a mooring caisson in the port. The anchor was lost. Damage caused was over a 30metre by 5metre area on the port side hull approximately some 3metres above the waterline. The ship was anchored off Hay Point and a survey carried out. The ship arrived in Brisbane for repair at the Cairncross Drydock 21st February 2008
