Hi Dave

Can I point out:

1. When a vessel is identified, the onus is on the original poster to update the Title of the photograph - I have actioned this for you. It is important that we have this detail for search and reference purposes.
2. In strictness your shot doesn't comply with 'Site Standards' as it doesn't show the FULL Ship - not sire if you have cropped too tightly. However it is good enough to stay, so unless you have a photograph showing the full ship, not action is needed.

FAQ's covering this category can be found at http://www.shipspotting.com/modules/xoopsfaq/index.php?cat_id=13

By the way, I photographed this vessel in Bridgetown, Barbados back in 2005 - photographs are on the site.

Regards

Steve Ellwood (Admin)

Steve,

Thanks again for your response. I'm beginning to understand the web site better each day and it is emails such as yours (I read a lot in the forums too) that help me get it together. Thanks very much for your advice. By the way, I scoured the USCG site a little bit yesterday evening trying to get the same information you did but so far no luck. Where did you get your information.

I was wondering about the full view of the ship in an image as a few of my images were deleted and now I understand why.

Also, since you are admin for this site, I discovered just yesterday that I had signed up for this site quite some time ago and forgot about it. Subsequently, I am registered twice. If possible (or tell me how I can do it) please delete the following username and accompanying email address as they no longer exist: Grimsby and [email protected].

Thanks again. I'll update the title now - oops, looks like you already did. Thanks.

Dave

Hi Dave

I am just one of the Photo Admins for the site and am always happy to help members out - we were all new at some stage :-)

I tend to use www.google.co.uk to find out information - fr instance a search immediately threw up this link to Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USCGC_Harriet_Lane_(WMEC-903)

I wouldn't be too bothered about having duplicated membership.
