Hi Andreas. This one I know! I sailed onboard in 1983 when she was Høegh Mallard. Still surprised to see her around - I believe maybe with another main engine now oppsite to then. We had a fire in the exhaust turbine and subsequently a hell of a jobb following: Replacing the damaged turbine, pistons overhaul and so on, floating for days in the carribbean. A few months after there was a crankshaft explosion and she was towed across the atlantic for repairs. Engineers hated her! But it was in many ways a lovely ship and I had a good time onboard. We traded Europe and north west America/ Canada carrying lumber, pulp, paper, containers and project cargo. Her hull was painted Grey then (Høegh colors).
