I've made the same experience at Bubendey-Ufer as you, Cornelia.
Folks equipped with heavy gear looking as if they wanted to say: What are you doing here? This is our territory. :-o
But then I took the same metal steps as you. :-D

Hehe, exactly there - harbour ferry, Bubendey-Ufer !! And a few metal stairs up, me and the camera, and there have been a few other folks taking photos of ships, they didn't look too welcoming but hey, do you think I'd care ? Went there, done my business, and went off again - that's what I came for. Ex. Katharina Ehler, seen few times before, funny how you can get familiar with some ships isn't it ? :-D Like your first timer "Victoria".

The memories coming up sometimes, if you see old friends again. It is always a difficult balance to other photographers here, but you are care. But I must say I have also not always a smile on the face. :-D

True, especially in those temperatures, you might either get too much cold air in your mouth or the smile will simply freeze, so - of course you are right hehe
