13:09:2000 - Premier Cruises went bankrupt. Rembrandt sailed fo Freeport, BHS for lay-up. May 1, 2003: Rotterdam Drydock Company purchased the Rembrandt with the Rotterdam Port Authority providing credit facilities. She ws towed to Gibraltar and laid up again. Eventually work to strip her of asbestos and convert her to a floating hotel/tourist attraction in Rotterdam was carried out in Gdynia and Bremerhaven.

Thanks for posting! With a bit of luck, she should finally arrive in Rotterdam this summer! I should have a few shots of her as REMBRANDT at Barcelona in '98 somewhere. Will try to dig em up and scan them (I was travelling with a group at the time, but was "lost" for about an hour, as I sneaked away just to see her!).
