General cargo ships built 1990-1999 (Over 3000gt) | Description: | In the ongoing battle between me and the Star-ships, today it was time for the Star Hildra. Last night i saw she was due this morning. Unfortunatly i could not get to the bridge in time for shooting her. No news, perhaps. Never will i get a shot of a star-ship coming in.
So then i go for the second "best", sideview. Did not turn out to bad. The downside:
Lost my trainconnection. Porsgrunn Norway aint the coolest place on earth to spend some hours on a sunday evening.

Hm, maybe it's the gloomy atmosphere his photos sometimes have.
It's surely appealing to me... :-D
Strange thing, those gravitational forces! I've never been a crack in physics. |
If you think you are strange sometimes then you are in good company!!!!!!
All the strange ones seem to gravitate to my Norwegian friend! :-D |
Now, apart from that the horizon isn't level (which can easily be corrected) this shot is very proper I'd say.
And the background reminds me of some setting in a science fiction or a horror movie. Well yes, it reminds me of Castle Dracula in Coppola's movie with Wynona Ryder as Elizabetha and Gary Oldman as Dracula.
Ok... I know I'm strange sometimes. :-D |
Yeah, magog rules! And the background is truly industrial. Very difficult getting a proper... Eh.. Shot there, but i have some plans. |
Porsgrunn again, extremely cool photo!
Don't know why, but that background is gorgeous, everytime, regardless of what ship is berthed there!
Though it looks even more gorgeous with big ships in front 8-) 8-)

And magogman's comments are simply hilarious!!  |
Hehe! Yeah, united whiners of shipspotting.
Thats us. A whine a day, thats what I say. |
There is a separate forum for whiners!
If you lived in the United States you would not have missed your train because:
1. There would not have been a train. We expect everyone to drive, burning foreign oil.
2. If there had been a train it would have been several hours late so you would have been able to catch it :-D |
