Description:

The CCGS Samuel Risley has left its berth at Government Dock in Sarnia, Ontairo and is turning to enter the St. Clair River and proceed downbound to the south end of Lake St. Clair to escort and icebreak a path for an unbound Great Lakes ship.
March 12, 2008. The icebreaker has just passed the Algoma Tankers Ltd.'s Algoeast which is undergoing maintenance prior to the opening of the navigation season on the North American Great Lakes

Thanks Matt - even though the chain link fences are beginnng to enroach upon Sarnia, you can still walk up and touch and or fondle most of the lakers that are laid up in Sarnia. That provides all sorts of neat angles to shoot and since those are mostly partial ship shots I will put them on my blog in a few weeks - am pretty tied up right now.

The Risley was the only thing moving on the river except for the ferry I took across to Ontario.
