Description:
This was the first ship produced in Poland after the second world war and because of her historical significance is now the main exhibit in the Polish Maritime Museum. Named after one of the shipyard's workers, she was launched in 1948 and withdrawn from service in 1990. Photographed on 9th August 2006 berthed beside the museum in Gdansk. Incidentally the name is pronounced 'Sowdek'.
