|New Zealand Shipping Coy's Rakaia at Berth No.2 Port Adelaide; November 1968. A very rare visitor to South Australia indeed.
Built by Harland & Wolff at Belfast, she was completed in June 1945 as the Empire Abercorn for the Ministry of War Transport. Sold and r/n Rakaia in 1946, she served the company until b/u in Hong Kong in 1971.
