Hey Gunnar

Nice shot of the Kaliningrad registered Marshal Vasilyevskiy (LR/IMO No 8033869), thanks for posting. Are the Russians fishing Blue Whiting at the moment I wonder, and is fish being landed to a cold store there in Fuglafjørður or are they transhipping to reeefers alongside?

Hi John.

The russians are fishing blue whiting at the moment. I just talked with my mate which is 2nd mate on the faroese purse seiner FD 110 Høgaberg. No blue whiting to find on the sonar. They are transhipping here. The last "russian" trawler landing at Fuglafjørður was the former icelandic trawler RE 1 Engey. This one was bunkering heavy fuel oil and fresh water.

Regards

Gunnar
