The Trust is keeping a close watch on the hull thickness because of her age and for every five year inspection the hull is cleaned and repainted. There is a plan in the works to reconfigure the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic that would create and put her in a sort of a dry dock under one roof to house the Sackville and get her out of the water in order to preserve her condition for life.
