Very interesting photo and very interesting conversation below, I was never sure whether a certain paint-scheme can belong to a shipowner, or so to say I was not sure whether Schepers did care about such, I know it's the case with Maersk ships, about other companies I don't know.

Thanks, Cornelia!
Yes, indeed, I wasn't sure either!
But on the other hand nowadays there's hardly anything that doesn't belong to someone. You even can buy property on other planets, or whole islands. Why not colour schemes? :-D

Hi Jens,

Saw just a photo of the lime-green JORK on vesseltracker where her accommodation is started to repaint to normal white. So it looks we are losing this specially colour scheme soon! :-(

Hi Pekka!

What a pity. I cannot say that she's one of my favourites with that lime-green, but on the other hand that way she is (was :-( ) always something special.
I wonder what made them decide to change the colour of the accomodation...

The reason is simple: She changed her ownership when renamed JORK.

And the new owner doesn't like lime-green (at least not to that extend as was used on Jork) :-D
A silly question, I think, but... Does the colour scheme "belong" to the former owner?

person
Yeah. Reederei Rudolf Schepers is the owner who has all of the weird coloured feeders like this one before, AURORA, WERDER BREMEN and BORUSSIA DORTMUND.

Ah, I thought so...
At least Schepers knows how to draw attention to his vessels. A colourful way of marketing maybe. :-D
