Description:

Canadian ocean-going tug SMIT CAPT. BOB is in Allied Shipyards in North Vancouver getting a refit and a renaming. She was formerly the Rivtow Capt. Bob since she was built in 1982. The Rivtow company founded in Vancouver (as River Towing) was bought by Smit International in 2000. The vessel is 41m in length, 975 GT, and her twin diesel engines put out 6200 BHP.
