NORWAVE and her sister NORWIND were both built in Bremerhaven in 1965 for the newly formed Anglo-Dutch North Sea Ferries for the Hull- Europoort service. This was taken in Hull in March 1976 when by this time they were on the Zeebrugge run following the introduction of the larger NORLAND and NORSTAR in 1974.
NORWAVE became ITALIA EXPRESS in 1987.
