|Jadrolinija's ERO, which is the the former Danish railferry ÆRØ, is seen arriving at Split in 2001 with passengers and cars from Rogač (isle of olta). In recent years she served the Makarska - Sumartin (isle of Brač) route. 2008 will probably be her last season.
Built 1931 as ÆRØ at Svendborg Skibsværft (yard no 36), Svendborg, Denmark for A/S Dampskibsselskabet Ærø, Ærøskøbing. 323 grt, 159 dwt. Sold 1967 to Olbalna Plovidba of Split, Yugoslavia. 1968 renamed ERO, in service in the Split - Supetar (isle of Brač) route. Later on taken over by Jadrolinija. Lengthened in 1951, re-engined in 1968. A completely new superstructure was built in the seventies.
