This photo was taken when Profesor Siedlecki finished her first research cruise on South African waters. What is surprising, in official ship history this visit in Southampton is not mentioned! But the photo was really taken in February 1973, because it's on of only few photos of this ship with "big boats" on board. This "tenders" was disassembled just after the first cruise.
It was not the first visit of this vessel in UK ports. She visited London and Aberdeen at her first year - 1972.
