TS Texas Clipper III, ex USNS Sirius (T-AFS-8) here at the Texas A & M at Galveston Maritime Training Academy dock on 17th May, 2008. Formerly a combat stores ship, she served the US Navy from 1981 to 2005 haven been acquired from the British Royal Navy Auxilliary where she served from 1965 until 1981. Originally laid down in 1965 in Wallsend, at Swan Hunter & Wigham Richardson, Lyness, Scotland.
