Builder: Oresundsvarvet, Landskrona, Sweden as a bulk and packaged lumber carrier.
1970 - "GIMLELAND" - A/S Haanes Rederi, Kristiansand, Norway. (Operated as part of Scanscot Freighters (comprising Thorerederierna, Helsingborg, Sweden, A.Leffer & Son, Gothenburg, Axel Brostrom & Son, Gothenburg and J.J. Denholm, Glasgow, U.K.)
1977 - "KANUKA FOREST" - Keplian International Inc. (Kapal Management Pte. Ltd.) Singapore, but still working for Scanscot Freighters, as per photo.
1984 - "NEW FOREST" - Plaza Navigation Inc., Manila, Philippines.
8/1986 - broken up in China

I saw the Kanuka Forest at the port of Cardiff in 1980. I remember it was under Singapore-flag then.

I believe i stayed on this ship, when my father was captain, his name was Captain James A Westerman (jim)i remember the name, but it was 30 odd years ago!!
