I can say that this ship isn't going anywhere anytime soon. I've been all through it and it's been thoroughly destroyed by vandals and the weather. There isn't a window left in it unscathed, the bridge electronics (what remain) are trashed, standing water in the lower portions of the main deck and upwards are seeping down and corroding everything. I won't go into the lower cargo decks due to lack of ventilation. 4 years of stagnation, hatches open to the elements, corrosion and oxidation of metals have probably made for pretty toxic air supply.

I believe this ship was slated to be called Intrepid Sea, and would have been a near identical sister to Panuke Sea as a platform supply vessel. My guess is it was put on the back burner after Panuke Sea was rebuilt, and now with the Acadian Sea and Emerald Sea being bought and Secunda being bought by J. Ray McDermot, I seriously wonder if this will ever be completed.

It doesn't look like she is ever gonna sail again. Is she already laid up for a long period ?

Hello there: From what I understand several were purchased enbloc for completion/rebuilding to Western standards, Hulls are ice strengthened and are very good ships, sad lloking prime coat paint was on all ships when purchased so she is not in bad shape,in fact not used! Possibly will be finished, new owners of the firm (Secunda Marine Ltd) may, however ,have different ideas. Cheers,Ken
