Sailed on this ship as 3rd Asst Engineer.
Great old fashioned quality US ship.
Two boilers with superheat and desuperheated steam, bunker c burning, turbine driven main engines (hp and lp). DC gnerators, very large engine spaces. Wonderful ship to sail on.
As I remember was slow, not as fast as a Victory ship.
Very relaible and solid construction.
