Description:

Pictured alongside at the Adriatic Shipyard, Bijela, Montenegro on 30/04/2008 where, to my knowledge, she has been for over two years.
Recently drydocked and hull repainted grey from black.
Launched on 30/01/1975 & completed on 02/04/2975 by Frederikshavns Vaerft, Denmark
(356) for Per Hendriksen's Mercandia Rederierna as " Mercandia Shipper", 1,599 g.t. & 2,999 dwt.
Sold & renamed "Helgafell" by Icelandic owners in 1979.
Sold & Renamed "Speranza" by Italian owners in 1984.
Converted to a pneumatic cement carrier in 1990, Italian owners and registered in Manfredonia.
Recorded as broken up in Augusta , Sicily on 16/09/1998 but she is still alive and seems ready to start work again. Regards, Rick

Hi Catherine, sorry, I do not know who currently owns the vessel. She has been in the yard for some time now and what her future role will be , who knows ?
