Photographer:Pascal [View profile]Title:NAPOLÉON BONAPARTEAdded:Jul 22, 2008
Photo Category: Casualties
Yersterday evening, when the ship was docking in Marseille in relatively strong wind conditions, the rope linking the ferry to the tug which was assisting it broke and the vessel hit violently the pier leaving a long scratch close to her bow. The ships had to cancel her 2 next trips to and from Corsica. On this picture, you may see a part of the hole in the hull and the red piece of metal melted in emergency by repairers. This picture was taken today July 22 at 13:00, I don't know how did the work go since then (at the time I'm writting those lines).

Sorry for the relatively low quality, but it was the best I could do to document this incident and I think the shot is nevertheless interesting.
