General cargo vessel Kent Explorer alongside the Machine Shop Wharf at Halifax Shipyards,Halifax on July 19th 2008 after suffering an engineroom fire while enroute from Europe to U.S. Eastcoast.Vessel towed to Halifax by Atlantic Towing Ltd tug Atlantic Elm (7910230).
Note paint burned from the funnel from E/R fire.
Built by Bremen Vulken,Bremen in 1986 as Weser Harbour.Renamed Scol Venture 86,Weser Harbour 87,Abitibi Orinoco 88,Weser Harbour 01,Normed Istanbul in 02 and Kent Explorer in 2003.
