You're quite right Phil it was indeed the 'Ready', you've prompted my lacklustre memory.
An apartment further downriver would be good as not too much goes past Grays now unless you're into Cobelfret Ferrys :-o
And of course if they ever build the proposed container port at Shellhaven you're looking Canvey ( :-( ) eastwards.

Sad shot Phil. Some very interesting ships went there. Lying alongside her is a Trinity House vessel, I believe it was the 'Siren'.
I stood on the jetty this January, it is still there but they are building 'luxury waterside apartments' all around it.

Quite right John. I thought the lighthouse tender was the READY rather than SIREN, but maybe not?

It is a shame that some of these places have gone but, on the other hand, I wouldn't mind a waterside apartment there, if I could afford one :-?
