JURIS AVOTS is seen sailing from Fos, Marseille, on 25.1.03, at a time when she was providing a regular cross-Mediterranean ro/ro service. At the time, she was flying the Cyprus flag, but according to Equasis, switched to Malta (and renamed TELO) in May 2004, to Latvia in September 2004 and to Liberia in February 2008.

Built by A.Zhdanov at Leningrad in 1983 as YURIY AVOT for the USSR, she was inherited by the Latvian Shipping Co in 1991, so becoming the Latvian JURIS AVOTS.
