The RTC-503 is scheduled to be double-hulled in 2007, at which point the Christine may be pinned, and the notch may be altered to fit her better. She had a good 2-3 feet between her bow and the forward end of the notch. I believe it was also rumored that Reinauer had the option to buy her at the end of the charter.

Matt, her full name is Christine M. McAllister. Whoever stenciled her name used different sized stencils for Christine M. and McAllister.

I'm pretty sure this is Christine McAllister. Looking at her photo on McAllister's website, it appears there is a letter in the middle of her name there, as well: http://www.mcallistertowing.com/Tugs%20and%20Specs/christine.htm

According to MARAD's website, this barge is single-skinned and must be retired by the end of 2007.
