Algoma's SAUNIÈRE as shown while downbound in ballast on the St.Lawrence River off Verchères, Québec, on June 11, 2005.
She gegan her career as a 'saltie', Jebsen's BROOKNES in 1970. Algoma bought her in 1976 as their ALGOSEA but renamed her SAUNIÈRE in 1982. She works mainly on the salt run from the Magdalen Islands to Eastern seaboard Canadian ports.

She was back in Montreal again last afternoon, June 17th, unloading salt near the bridge.
