The Port of Hakata serves the city of Fukuoka on Kyushu. This port on Hakata Bay is the oldest natural harbour in Japan and has trade links to China stretching back into ancient times. This photograph, taken on 7th July 2008, shows the the man made, reclaimed land on which the port complex is built.
