She sure did last. I spent two and a half years of my late teens early twentys on her as apprentice and third officer. In fact I joined her as 3/O in Freetown Sierra Leone shortly after this photo was taken. The Captain at the time of the photo was Capt Kent who had taken over when I left the ship the first time after two years on board. I have always wanted a photo of this ship.

Dave - Not being pedantic but her name was the "MEADOWBANK" - Typical Doxford tramp ;-) Like a sewing machine , just went on and on :-D
