Description:

The J. Samuel White built Watson-class RNLB Sir Samuel Kelly (O/n 885) seen preserved at Donaghadee on 21/09/08. The lifeboat served with the station in Northern Ireland from 1950 to 1976 and probably her most famous rescue was when she saved 32 survivors from the sinking Larne to Stranraer ferry Princess Victoria IV on 31/01/53 where 133 people lost their lives.
