Wow, Great shot of the Reliable. During the late 1980s, this tug suffered severe engine problems. She was stripped out and still exists as a hulk along the Erie Canal. Her Engine and everything salvagable has been taken out of her. I will send some recent photos to you. Her sister is the Syracuse, both built by the Canal Corp in Syracuse during the late 1920's.

Man that is one heck of a tug, love the erie canal boats and that is a different one, amazing. where on the canal was this taken? looks like maybe lockport
