Launched in 1919,Creteboom was a ferrocement tug built for war service but completed too late. It was used to toe coal barges from the Baltic to the Uk until 1924 when she was laid up.in1937 her hulk was sold to Ballina Harbour Commissioners for use as a sand stop. Damaged crossing the bar she sank in the wrong place.She lay there until 1974,when she was raied and towed to her present position not far from the Quay,Ballina. Photo 13-10-2008
