The Kulukundis family also owned London & Overseas Freighters. Although R&K and LOF shared the same funnel marking, the two companies operated quite separately from different office addresses in London, with LOF operating its ships under the British flag while R&K mainly used the Greek flag.
Cygnus only lasted 12 years, being scrapped in 1966. Its Lloyd's Register (IMO) number was actually 508332 (with only six digits). The final '0' check digit shown would have been added had the ship survived just a little longer. I have added the seventh digit for conformity with the rest.
