When the Confederation Bridge -in the background- was opened later in 1997, ship was retired, becoming Contessa I, Texas Treasure and 04 Treasure.
Sailed from Texas to Alang under her own power and was boken up 2004-06-29.

I did a quick round trip on the Abby just to get this photo- the sound of those 4 Fairbanks Morse's full out was worth it!
Unfortunately I didn't have time to make a trip on John Hamilton Gray that day. I made a trip on her many several years before and got good black and white photos of Abby in the ice.
