Thanks for the great shot of the semi-sub with the barges and pushboats. I work for Rio Tinto, and our Brazilian operation is building up the tug/barge fleet for the Corumba mine expansion (12.8M tpa to be barged down the Parana from Albuquerque to Agraciada, Uruguay).
Do you know who these tugs and barges are for?

No, I don`t know who these barges are for. I am a dispatcher for the Paraná river pilots bringing these barges up-river but my contact is with the charterers shipagents, not with the actual buyers, but I can find out and will let you know. We also work with ships loading Rio Tinto mineral ore at San Nicolás, Argentina for abroad.
