Very nice Clyde,

I see from a quick browse through your latest, that the traffic is quite varied.
Hope thats the way it continues.

regards
Derek

Thanks for the hope Derek. The volume is down by 30% with vehicle carriers now going to Port Kembla. And a by product is that I don't get to see the unscheduled ships - like Navy - that passed by when I was waiting for a vehicle carrier.

But if I am prepared to travel 30 minutes through car traffic each way I can see the container ships in Port Botany. I have been spoilt (still am) with 10 - 12 shipspotting sites 5 - 15 minutes away.

Yours
Clyde

Hi Clyde,

I am in a very good position on the South of the harbour here.
In the afternoon photos can be taken of everything entering or leaving the
Harbour from the ports of Felixstowe, Harwich, Mistley and Ipswich.
I have several spots including this one.

Heres the harbour

http://olivecottage.homeip.net/AIS/AIS.asp I live in Dovercourt!
A cycle ride away can do it in five minutes along the promenade keeping away from the roads!

best regards
Derek
