You say ex-"Sapphire Princess"? Are you sure about that - was not the fire in the Mitsubishi yard on board the first of the sister ships, which was to be named "Diamond Princess"? The second of the two ships took the name "Diamond Princess" and the fire-damaged ship became "Sapphire Princess". Which makes the ship in your photo not ex-"Sapphire Princess" but "Diamond Princess" in her own right?

They did a hull swap, because of all the fan fare for the commencemnt of service of the Diamond Princess there was now way she would be repaired in time, so they did a hull swap so that the original Sapphire become Diamond and the Original Diamond became Sapphire.

Therefore avoiding a huge I guess PR nightmare and still having a ship called Diamond Princess there for planned start.

Had the second ship, into which Mitsubishi put extra effort to complete in rapid time after the blaze in the first ship, actually been named "Sapphire Princess"?
