This is a first for me, helping to identify a Russian boat from Maryville, Ill., in the middle of the U.S. And I do not read cyrillic. The web site RussianRiverShips.ru lists this boat as ALEKSANDR OBUKHOV. I have a photo of this boat which shows the shortened name on the side of the boat like shown here, but the full name is written across the front of the boat. Built under Project 428.2 as a Type OT boat. Owned by North-Western Shipping Company, Saint Petersburg. 2x1,000 hp. The first of this series was built in 1976 at Obuda Hajogyar shipbuilding plant at Budapest.
