|This is the first Anø, built by Svensborg Skibsværft, 1934, for Rederiet Anholt, Copenhagen, for trading with passengers and cargo between Copenhagen and Anholt, Grenaa, Aalborg and vice versa.
In 1941 the vessel struck a mine outside the Limfjord and sank.
Vessel was later salvaged by Danish Company Svitzer, but during the tow to Svendborg for repairs, they encountered bad weather and the Anø sank on deep water and was declared a total loss.
