Damgracht anchored off Shakespeare Bay - New Zealand. 20-2-2009. She's carrying project cargo from Korea I believe. Possibly first photo of her and maiden voyage perhaps aswell.

Cargo on deck looks to be wind turbine blades, probably destined for the Project Westwind windfarm, west of Wellington.
If so, these will be discharged at Shakespeare Bay, Picton, then loaded onto a barge for transport across Cook Strait to a purpose-built wharf on the coast near Makara.

Hi David

Yep I know about that. A former colleague of mine works on the barge Brandywine which is transporting the blades. Spliethoff ships have been a common site at Shakespeare Bay lately.
