Llega a Vigo el «Orca II» con 1.300 kilogramos de cocaína a bordo.
El remolcador Orca II , apresado el pasado 4 de noviembre en alta mar con sus cinco tripulantes cuando transportaba 1.300 kilogramos de cocaína, arribará hoy a la antigua Escuela de Técnicos Especialistas de la Armada de Vigo. Los detenidos en esa operación son un alemán, un austríaco, dos caboverdianos y un ghanés.
En la captura y abordaje intervinieron personal de Aduanas de la Agencia Tributaria en colaboración con las autoridades británicas, a través del organismo Serious Organised Crime Agency y la Royal Navy. El dispositivo naval hispano-británico localizó el objetivo cuando navegaba a unas 360 millas al sudoeste de Cabo Verde.
El abordaje se produjo por sorpresa y sin ningún incidente y en la misma participaron funcionarios de Aduanas españoles con el apoyo logístico del buque británico de la Royal Navy Argyle . El Orca II tiene una eslora de 50 metros y está abanderado en Honduras.

The tug Orca II was captured on November 4 on the high seas with its five crew members when carrying 1300 kilograms of cocaine, & arrived today, 14/11/2006 in the former Naval School of Technical Specialists, Vigo.
Those arrested in this operation are a German, one Austrian, two Cape Verdean and a Ghanaian.
The capture and collision involved a Customs officer at the Tax Agency in collaboration with the British authorities, through the Serious Organized Crime Agency and the Royal Navy.
The Franco-British naval collaboration made the arrest about 360 miles southwest of Cape Verde.
The arrest occurred by surprise and without incident and participants included the Canadian Customs officers with the logistic support ship of the British Royal Navy Argyle.
The Orca II is Honduran flagged and length of 50m.

Si no me equivoco este barco se llamaba Orca II, y en su día fue confiscado por la Guardia Civil en una operación antidroga. Saludos
