|Dar Mlodziezy has been owned by the Gdynia Maritime Academy since she was built in 1982, replacing the frigate Dar Pormoza which had trained future officers of the merchant and fishing fleets for over fifty years.
Dar Mlodziezy has taken part in the Cutty Sark Tall Ships' Races many times; Her debut was in 1982 when she crossed the start line directly after being commissioned. Shortly after, she began a circumnavigation of the globe which coincided with the 200th anniversary of Australia.
