"LONE RANGER was originally built by Schichau Unterwasser in Bremerhaven, Germany as a salvage tug. She was converted by Claus Kusch into a yacht for Jack Setton around 1994 in Malta and named SIMSON S. Later she was sold to Peter B. Lewis former CEO of insurance company Progressive Corp and was renamed LONE RANGER. Her sister ship is KHOZAM.

She's the former tug SIMSON of Bugsier Reederei. She was built in 1973 at Schichau shipyard in Bremerhaven. At that time the yard was one of the leading yards for deep sea tugs.

That's right, she's now owned by the CEO of U.S. insurance giant Progressive Insurance.
