She was built in 1947 as the VATNAJOKULL by Lidingöverken in Lidingö, Sweden for owners based in Reykjavik, Iceland. She had a gross tonnage of 924 tons. In 1964, she was sold to Atlantic Fishing Enterprises 'Evangelistria' SA based in Piraeus, Greece and renamed EVANGELISTRIA V. On the 19th of January 1981, while sailing from Alicante (Spain) to Reggio Calabria (Italy), the ship suffered steering problems in heavy seas. The crew, fearing the worst, decided to abandon ship. The vessel then drifted ashore near the Sardinian town of Oristano. About a week later she was hauled off the beach and was laid up in the port of Cagliari, at the south end of the island. The vessel was then pretty much left to rot at the quayside eventually becoming condemned in 1986. During this time she also developed a leak, listed over onto her port side and partially sank onto the muddy harbour floor. At some point in the early 1980s, it seems her name may have been changed to ANNI I although this name was never written on her hull. She remained there until 2004 when she was removed along with some other wrecks in the port during a cleanup of the harbour.

Here is some info on this vessel
The ship was built in 1947 as the Vatnajokull and was owned by Glacier Bank of Sweden. Then, in 1964 the ship was bought by Evangelistria Atlantic Fishing Enterprises of Piraeus and renamed Evangelistria V. In 1981, while off the coast of Italy, the steering was damaged in high seas and the ship was towed to Cagliari (Sardinia) for repairs. However the ship was never fixed up, and lay against the breakwater for 23 years. It was finally removed in 2004, along with some other wrecks in the port.
