BOBLO Steamer Ste. Claire undergoing restoration at Lorain, Ohio, 26 June 2004. The Ste. Claire was built in 1910, and was used until 1991 to shuttle passengers from Detroit, Michigan, to the BOBLO Amusement park on Belle Isle, Michigan, in the Detroit River. From 1991 to 2001 the vessel sat in the Nicholson's slip of the Detroit River, rotting away, when it was purchased and towed to Toledo, Ohio, where restoration began. In 2003 it was towed to its current home in Lorain, where restoration continues.
