Description:

In the foreground, the BC Ferry Services ferries NORTH ISLAND PRINCESS (IMO 8873788) and MAYNE QUEEN (IMO 6522567) alongside at Victoria Shipyards near the end of their refits. In the background, the Princess Cruises cruise ship GOLDEN PRINCESS (IMO 9192351) in the Esquimalt Graving Dock undergoing a major refit. She is the largest ship to ever enter the graving dock. With her 36 m beam, there is only 1 m of room on either side, barely enough to clear the bumpers slung on the side of the dock.

Neat Photo! It's not often I think that the North Island Princess and Mayne Queen get to hang out together! The cruise ship looks cool too. I'm glad the cruise companies are supporting the Canadian economy by utilizing our refit services! It's good since I'm sure they make a fortune off our Inside Passage on their summer cruises...
