In the mid eighties I boarded this ship (whilst it was alongside ras tanura sea island) to carryout a routine port safety inspection. Whilst I was walking along the ship's main deck's elevated walkway just about midships I commented to the second mate that the gratings (which were supporting us) looked very rusty, weak and unsafe - he assured me that it was ok - the next second the gratings under me shattered and I fell instantly 3m to the pipes below. Not recommended
